Many Persian student organizations focus on serving people of Persian heritage. This is a valuable service because many students don’t have immediate family around, and the student community acts as their support group. As it’s a good omen to be with family at Tahveel-e Saal, or the moment of the Vernal Equinox, that student community fills an important role.
The purpose of HAND Foundation’s Norooz Outreach Program is to extend this sense of community and celebration BEYOND the Persian community. We invite student groups to apply for a grant to assist in their efforts.
